Gemotions

Eliza stirred the simmering stew, the rich aroma of herbs and spices filling her kitchen. The evening light cast a warm glow across the room, illuminating the worn wooden table and the comfortable clutter of her home. She moved with an easy grace, humming along to the music playing softly on the radio.

While searching for a specific cookbook, she unearthed a box filled with old photographs and letters. Amongst the familiar faces and faded memories, was a letter she’d written to her childhood best friend.

The letter was full of the vibrant dreams of a young woman, plans and aspirations, and a deep longing for a life she was now living. She sat at the table and smiled, the anxieties of that young woman long gone.
